- Ablative lasers: The most commonly used ablative lasers are the erbium and carbon dioxide lasers. The erbium yttrium aluminum garnet (Er: YAG) laser emits a 2940-nm light and ablates 10–20 µm of tissue with each pass using a fluence of 5 J/cm.
