Prediabetes is the first step of type 2 diabetes. In prediabetes, blood sugar level is high but it is not as high as posing type 2 diabetes. For lack of managing prediabetes, you may face type 2 diabetes within 10 years. Doctor cannot say any exact causes for that people face prediabetes. But, doctors indicate the following reasons are probably liable for prediabetes:

Most common prediabetes causes

Insufficient insulin or insulin resistance

Insulin helps split sugar and mix in blood. Sugar goes into cells through bloodstream and turns into energy. In this way, sugar vanishes away from our body. But, when our body does not generate insulin enough to break down sugar, sugar starts to deposit in blood. This is happened because there is a pancreas behind human stomach. This pancreas basically produces insulin. When pancreas cannot produce insulin, sugar cannot mix into blood and rises high in the blood. So, you feel prediabetes symptoms. When the sugar rises gradually at the dangerous level, you face type 2 diabetes. For random eating, lack of physical movements and overweight, pancreas becomes unable to produce insulin. This is also called insulin resistance.

Unhealthy eating

Eating lot of Trans food, carbohydrate foods, fats, whole milk or dairy product, calorie rich foods etc. are liable to insulin resistance. Eating heart-content also causes overweight. Overweight is the main reason of prediabetes. Most of the overweight persons face prediabetes, and then type 2 diabetes. If you eat Trans food, fat, processed foods, sugary foods, saturated fats etc, you become overweight. Lack of physical movements also helps to be overweight.

Prediabetes causes

Unhealthy eating and lack of physical exercise make you overweight, and overweight causes prediabetes, and then gradually you go to type 2 diabetes.

Lack of exercise

Physical exercise saves you from various diseases and gives you strength. On the other hand, lack of physical exercise gives you various diseases, the risk of diabetes, the risk of heart disease etc.

Family history

If you have prediabetes or diabetes in your family, you may face prediabetes and gradually type 2 diabetes. In Asian countries, many people get prediabetes or type 2 diabetes from their parents and grandparents.

Gestational diabetes

If any women faced gestational diabetes, they would experience again it through prediabetes before pregnant, and then gestational diabetes.
